St. Savior Episcopal School

Zarka , Jordan

Science Lab - $5,550

The school serves the residents of this industrial city, home of Palestinian refugees who came to Jordan during the conflicts of 1948 and 1967. It is adjacent to the Savior Episcopal Church, where Rev. Fa'eq Haddad is rector.

The school serves the underprivileged. In addition to financial challenges faced by most students, a few children have special physical needs. Services have been extended to students with disabilities. A kindergarten class for blind children lets them progress to the first grade.

The school has expanded to an 11th and 12th grade and has opened a playground. despite crushing financial challenges, the Savior School has a solid reputation. Many Muslim and Christian parents send their children to this school because they want them to develop good qualities and beliefs. In this way, the school is a witness to the surrounding community.

The present science lab does not have sufficient equipment to provide a first-class education. They need modern lab apparatus such as distillation equipment, fume hoods, Bunsen burners, microscopes, racks, tanks and overhead projectors.
